Hyaluronic acid gel is injected into targeted areas of the face by our experienced doctor to treat a wide range of concerns. Our gold standard product Hyabell is available in four different consistencies depending on the concern being treated.
Upper face
In the upper face, dermal fillers can be used to soften and fill the glabella lines and forehead lines that appear on the brow. They can also be used to fill the hollows that form at the temples and smooth deep crow’s feet that form due to the constant contraction and relaxation of the muscles surrounding the eye. Here, they are often combined with Anti-Wrinkle Injections.
Mid face
Dermal fillers are particularly effective in the mid-face. Facial volume loss as we age cause the cheeks to flatten which, in turn, produces folds to appear between the nose and mouth and loss of definition along the jawline. By injecting Hyabell in the mid-face, it is possible to restore more rounded, youthful contours and create a lifting effect in the lower face.
Dermal fillers can also be injected directly into the nasolabial folds to achieve a smoother, more refreshed appearance.
Lower face
In the lower face, dermal fillers can be used to treat the marionette lines between the mouth and the chin and support a down-turned mouth. The jawline can also be addressed.
Lip augmentation with dermal fillers is a very popular treatment as it can address loss of volume that causes the lips to thin as we age and smooth lipstick lines. For younger patients, it can also produce a subtle enhancement. The chin can also be enhanced with dermal fillers to produce a more harmonious balance to the facial features. Hyaluronic acid fillers can also be used to treat the neck and décolleté.
What is Hyabell?
Hyabell® is a fourth generation hyaluronic acid dermal filler with lidocaine. Hyabell’s special injection properties enable the dermal filler to be spread gently and precisely, producing a significant and reliable amount of volume. The results are visible immediately.
What does it involve?
Generally we use a cannula to inject small amounts of fillers under your skin. Most people don’t experience much pain during these injections. The included lidocaine supports and reduces your pain during the injection. Your healthcare provider may inject the fillers in several areas.
How long does it last?
Hyabell® persists in the dermis for at least 6 to 14 months. The high degree of crosslinking supports a slower absorption of Hyabell® in the tissue. The durability of Hyabell® in the skin varies according to skin type, age and the way of life of the patient as well as treated area and injection technique. It may be necessary to renew the treatment partially in order to optimise the results and durability of the correction.
Are there any precautionary measures to be considered?
Make-up should be avoided during the first twelve hours following the injection.
The client must also avoid saunas, steam bath, UV rays and exposure to cold during 10 days following the injection.
In the event of prolonged exposure to the sun, a sun block should be applied to the treated areas.
Are there undesirable side effects?
As with all skin fillers swelling and/or redness, with or without associated pain, may occur after the injection. These generally disappear within a few hours, days or in some cases within a week. Some rare cases of necrosis, abscess, granuloma or of over-sensitivity have been described in the scientific literature after injections of hyaluronic acid. Continuation of these reactions or appearance of any other side effects must be reported to the practitioner by the patient as soon as possible in order to resolve it by appropriate treatment.
